The powerful Hiroshi Clan have lived in this traditional looking structure since the Edo Period of Japan. The building itself burned down a few times but parts of it still remain from way back when. The Kanazawa Castle is the base of operations for all Onmyōji. New students practice on the grounds of Kanazawa Castle in hopes of becoming a Master of Onmyōdō.

Kanazawa Castle Park is a large park in the center of Kanazawa and is accessible from many different sides. It has a lot of plantation and pathways to many different area.
Omicho Market

The Omicho Market has been Kanazawa's largest fresh food market since the Edo Period. Today, it is a busy strip of about 200 shops and stalls. The Omicho Market has everything from fresh fruit, clothing, and other assorted goods. During the holiday season the Omicho Market is decorated with paper lanterns and festive decorations.
Oyama Shrine

The Oyama Shrine is dedicated to Akifumi, the first lord of the powerful, Hiroshi Clan. The shrine is known for its unusual gate with both European and Asian religious themes. The gate used to guard the entrance to the Kanazawa Castle, but it was later moved to the Oyama Shrine. The Oyama Shrine is a serene place to visit with ponds and bridges, designed to resemble harps and lutes.
Kenrokuen Garden

Kenrokuen Garden is one of Japan's most beautiful landscape gardens. The spacious garden used to be the outer garden of Kanazawa Castle. It is now opened to the public and has ponds, streams, waterfalls, bridges, teahouses, trees, stones and flowers.
Seisonkaku Villa

The Seisonkaku Villa was built in the last years of the Edo Period by a Hiroshi lord for his mother. Seisonkaku is a large structure with tatami rooms on two floors. The Seisonkaku Villa gives a clear view of the garden and is a nice place to stop at for a good view.
