HUMAN
Humans are the most abundant race through-out the world. Most Humans are unaware of the presence of Yōkai and Onmyōji, but they fear all Yōkai because of the stories surrounding them. Certain Humans are capable of sensing the presence of Yōkai, but this is a very rare gift. These Humans are highly sought after by Yōkai because eating their livers will grant them increased strength.
Abilities: None. Some Humans are capable of sensing Yōkai, but this is a very rare gift.
YŌKAI
Yōkai are supernatural monsters in Japanese folklore. The form of these creatures can range from Human looking, inanimate objects, animals, and other things. Yōkai are feared by Humans and there are some Yōkai that are revered as deities and others by evil. Not all Yōkai are the same. There are many types of Yōkai out there and they use Fear differently.
Abilities: Yōkai have the ability to alter their appearance to look like a Human. Just because Yōkai have the ability to alter their appearance does not mean they cannot be easily sensed. Unlike a Yōkai and Human crosspieces a regular Yōkai can live for hundreds to thousands of years. There are many types of Yōkai out there and they use Fear differently.
ONMYŌJI
Onmyōji are Humans capable of using a variation of magic called Onmyōdō. For a Human to be capable of using Onmyōdō they must be born into it. No Human outside of the Hiroshi Clan can use Onmyōdō. All Onmyōji are related to each other in one way or another. Onmyōji are trained how to use Onmyōdō when they are young and can become a Master of Onmyōdō once their training is complete. The responsibilities of an Onmyōji include: keeping track of the calendar, divination, and protection of the capital from evil spirits.
Abilities: Onmyōji are capable of using a wide variety of magical spells to defeat their enemies. Be sure to read the appropriate thread about Onmyōdō to learn all about the abilities of an Onmyōji. All Onmyōji are capable of sensing nearby Yōkai.
