The truce between Human and Yōkai was broken and the public began to rebel against the Leaders of Japan. The Great Yōkai Battle was established and a war between Human and Yōkai commenced. The Leaders of Japan enlisted the help of powerful men capable of wielding magic called Onmyōdō. These men called themselves Onmyōji. While it seemed like Yōkai had the upper-hand in the beginning, the Onmyōji shifted the battle in their favor and ended the long and grueling war. The Onmyōji began preparations for a battle if their assistance was needed.
