This thread will detail specific information that will help members with creating characters and roleplaying on the website. Feel free to ask Staff any questions.

SETTING

The time for this roleplay is modern day. Much of the history surrounding Japan has been altered to suit the plot of the roleplay. In particular the city of Kanazawa’s history has been changed to better suit the plot and future plots for Hurts Like Heaven. The most notable changes to Kanazawa’s history is anything that involves the Maeda Clan. The Maeda Clan has been replaced with an original family name that involves Onmyōji. This change was necessary to give importance to all characters that are born of Onmyōji blood.

A few locations and their history have been altered to make the roleplay somewhat original, but with a realistic approach to it.

FANDOM

While the site may seem like a Nurarihyon no Mago roleplay, it's not. The only information used from the anime/manga is the content about Fear. The Staff tried to make the site as original as possible, because the site did not want to be considered a Nurarihyon no Mago roleplay. Hurts Like Heaven is an original fantasy roleplay with Nurarihyon no Mago influences.

CONTEST

The Night Parade of One Hundred Demons is basically a clan of a said amount of powerful Yōkai. The clan leader that is able to recruit the most Yōkai into his or her clan and earn the most respect from the Yōkai community as a whole, will be the new King of Yōkai.
